HER Citizenship
What defines citizenship? It probably includes more than you think. Citizenship is defined not only by your right to participate in formal civic acts like voting, it also comprises women’s contributions and responsibilities within our community. When citizens embrace their significant influence in our cities and towns, they understand how important they are in creating and sustaining a strong civic culture and in combating polarization.
HER Citizen Stories
We want to hear from you! Arizona women are at the heart of the civic fabric that holds our communities together, but we often underestimate our impact. We want to gather stories of women demonstrating everyday citizenship. From participating in community service to organizing neighborhood book clubs, women across Arizona are strengthening our civic culture. Highlight the contributions of a woman in Arizona history, talk about your neighbor or friend, or share your own story. In celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country, contribute a HER citizen story and help recognize how our state benefits from the civic contributions of women.
